CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS OF THE
COLUMBUS COTTONMOUTHS BOOSTER
CLUB
ARTICLE 1: NAME
The name of the organization will be the Columbus Cottonmouths Booster Club.
ARTICLE 2: OBJECTIVE
The primary objective of the Columbus Cottonmouths Booster Club (“Booster Club”) will be to further and support interest in the sport of professional ice hockey and to assist the Columbus Cottonmouths (“Cottonmouths”) players. The secondary objective of the Booster Club will be to provide activities and opportunities for the Booster Club Members to get together for social and entertainment purposes with each other and with the Cottonmouths Players.
ARTICLE 3: MEMBERSHIP
Section 1: Eligibility Requirements: Any adult person who is eighteen (18) years of age or older shall be eligible for membership in the Booster Club and shall become a member upon completion of the membership application form and payment in full of the annual dues.
Section 2: Types of Membership: There shall be 2 (two) types of paid membership. Adult Membership and sponsored child membership. Adult Members are people 18 years of age or older. A sponsored child is a relative of a member that is not immediate family. (Example: Niece or nephew).
Section 3: Annual Dues: For the purpose of paying annual dues they should be set by the first meeting of the season by the Executive Board to be presented and voted on by the General Membership.
Section 4: Member Participation: Each member will support the Columbus Cottonmouths Organization through the Booster Club by working fund raisers. The number of times a member is expected to work projects during the season will be set by the Executive Board EACH SEASON depending on the number of club members.
ARTICLE 4: OFFICERS AND EXECUTIVE BOARD
Section 1: Officers and Executive Board: The Officers of the Booster Club will consist of a President, First Vice President, Second Vice President, Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary, Treasurer, and Sergeant-at-arms.
Section 2: Duties of the Executive Board: The operation and management of the Booster Club will be the responsibility of the Executive Board. The Executive Board will execute the expressed wishes of the membership, direct policies and activities of the Booster Club and represent the Booster Club in activities undertaken in cooperation with other booster clubs. The Executive Board will have primary authority regarding events not covered by these by-laws.
Section 3: Membership Attendance and Performance of Duties: All elected officials are required to attend all general and Executive Board Meetings. Additionally, the officers will perform their duties as described in these by-laws.
Section 4: Duties of the President: The President will call and preside over all General Membership and Executive Board meetings. The President will ensure that all committees function in accordance with the best interest of the Booster Club.
